"The Glen Road to Carrick", in Gaelic "Bóthair an Ghleanna go dtí an Charraig",<br> also known as "Chorus Reel", "On the Road" or "On the Road from Glen to Carrick"<br> is an Irish reel in D Mixolydian/Major or G Major. The parts are played AA'BCDE<br> (Armagh Pipers), ABCCDE (Breathnach) or ABB'CDEE' (Feldman & O'Doherty).<br> It is a popular reel in County Donegal.<br> Paddy Cronin recorded the tune on a 78 RPM under the title "Doon Reel No. 2".<br> It was printed in Vallely's Armagh Piper's Club's Play 50 Reels (1982),<br> Breathnach's CRÉ III (1985),<br> Bulmer & Sharpley's Music from Ireland, vol. 3 (1974) and<br> Feldman & O'Doherty's The Northern Fiddler (1979) (appears as "On the Road").<br> It was recorded by Johnny Doherty on Johnny Doherty (1975),<br> Seamus Glackin on Fiddle Sticks: Irish Traditional Music from Donegal (1991),<br> Francie Byrne on The Brass Fiddle (2008),<br> Seamus & Kevin Glackin on Na Saighneáin/Northern Lights (1988),<br> Seamus Creagh on Came the Dawn (1994),<br> Paddy Glackin & Robbie Hannan on The Whirlwind (1995),<br> Seamus Glackin on An Fhidil, vol. 1 (1978) and<br> The Chieftans on Water From The Well (2000).<br>
